Fall Fabi! 🍂🍁

Ladies and Gents Fabihijabi has done it, she's finally moved to New York! She's making her way downtown walking fast but it's getting cold in New York and we don't play that! So of course I needed a fabulous coat to keep cozy and stylish this fall! This piece, thank god didn't require me to start totally from scratch, I ended up using the patterns that I made when making a custom coat for a friend of mine. The patterns were made and sized for a male so the coat came out really oversized but that's exactly how I wanted. The only modifications I did make to these patterns were extending the collar and the welts for the pockets! I love a huge pocket and collar! It gives the coat a 1950s vibe which mayyyyybe my favorite fashion era. Idk its just something about the simple but classic designs and style lines that just make everything effortlessly elegant. Anyways, I always added this oversized pearl buttons that I found at mood! It was love at first sight and it gave this coat the perfect pop! I also used a heavier weight ivory satin that I had laying around, that definitely transformed the design of the coat from casual to classic! So here's to autumn in New York and here's to the perfect timeless coat!
