Eid al Fitr 2017!

Eiiid! The most stressful time of year... Normally twice a year, every year I stress about what to wear. Even though I may start planning a month or so ahead, I still find myself going over and rearranging my outfit the night before. Fortunately this year, at least for one Eid lol, I was prepared! I used an opportunity for a class project to design and make an Eid look! The project was for a special topics class which teaches us different methods of putting prints on fabric. For this project I started with idea of block printing, however it was not as easy as I thought and the design did not come out I intended. So I instead chose to hand paint the design on my garment and fortunately it came out exactly as I wanted! I used a copper colored fabric paint on a rose gold/tan satin to create this paneled peplumed look. Modest and Elegant, perfect for Eid!
